NCPLS welcomes people who are interested in assisting our organization and clients in several ways. 

Law Student Intern/Externships

NCPLS has a strong intern and externship program.  NCPLS regularly hosts law students during the school year and summer months.  Students are able to come and support NCPLS attorneys in diverse areas such as research and writing, interviewing clients in North Carolina jails and prison facilities, and attending court hearings.

We usually accept applications for positions on the following time table:

Summer - Early February
Fall - Mid July
Spring - Mid November
