NCPLS Grievance Procedure

Any prisoner who is dissatisfied with the services provided by NCPLS, or with a staff attorney's decision to decline representation, has the right to file a grievance with the NCPLS Director. The Director will designate a senior attorney to review the matter, and a decision will be made about whether any other action on the prisoner's case is needed. If dissatisfied with the response of the Director or his designee, the prisoner may appeal to the Grievance Committee of the NCPLS Board of Directors by writing back to NCPLS at the same address.
